Pear Tree Cottage is a boutique, stylish three bedroom, two bathroom detached barn conversion. Fully modernised throughout it offers characterful comfort on your holiday.
Pear Tree is just five miles from the city centre tucked away along a country lane overlooking open countryside.
We pride ourselves on offering guests the personal touch on their holidays. We operate as an independent family business with real experience of the local area and what it has to offer. So if you would like any suggestions of places to visit either in York or the surrounding area we would be delighted to help you plan your break.

We had a fantastic time at Pear Tree cottage. Welcome hamper greatly appreciated after a long car journey. Cottage well equipped and very nicely decorated especially for Christmas. Great location for park and ride in to York. Surrounding area also very beautiful. Thank you Vanessa and family for being great hosts.

Great accommodation, we had family from Australia with us and they loved the old style look of the exterior of the building and the exposed beams with the modern decoration inside. The ‘Welcome Box’ on arrival was very nice. Vanessa very helpful re local information.

We had a lovely stay at Pear Tree cottage. It was very comfortable and cosy and we were provided with a very comprehensive welcome pack filled with goodies! Vanessa responded very quickly to any of our queries which was appreciated. We would definitely recommend staying here and will be back for another stay.

This cottage was a home from home , very peaceful with fields all around . It was just outside York which was just what we wanted. The house was very clean and well equipped the host was quick to respond to my questions. I highly recommend this Cosy comfortable house as a place to stay we would definitely go back if in York another time.

We had the most amazing time at Pear Tree Cottage. A great location, nice a quiet but with easy access into York. The Cottage is pristine and so cozy. It had everything we needed and we felt totally at home!
